I am very disappointed in Dr Go and her office staff. My niece just returned from serving almost 5 years in the United States Marine Corps. Since she has been more like a daughter than a niece it is not uncommon for her to ask for my assistance when she needs some parental guidance or advice. She is starting college this Fall thanks to the Post 911 GI Bill and needed her shot records. Initially she called Dr. Go's office requesting her records. Since she was last seen at Dr. Go's office in 2013 her medical records should have still been available. The guy she spoke with said he couldn't find them. My niece asked me what she should do. I told her since it's been less than 5 years they legally should still have her records. I suggested we go there and speak to someone face to face. Well, the guy we spoke with said there was nothing there. I asked him if they keep all records for at least 7 years. He didn't respond but he did look uncomfortable. Probably because he realized they had screwed up on this one. My niece then asked if Dr. Go could give her a note for Quest diagnostics permitting them to do a blood draw. She was told she would have to see the doctor and in order for that to happen it would cost her $80. So, eager to get her school requirements ready in a timely manner she agreed to pay the $80 or more if it meant she needed to repeat the immunization, so be it she just wanted it done. After seeing the doctor my niece came out $80 poorer after having been told that the school district has to still have her records and she cant get the repeat immunizations because they are too expensive. No, they should have had the records and since they lost them, they should have apologized not swindle her out of $80. I am disgusted by the way she was treated. Not because they lost her records, I realize mistakes happen but at least be accountable and certainly don't charge her! It's very seldom that I use my precious time to write a negative review but this was just blatant disregard to a former patient as well as a lack of integrity and accountability. Shame on you Dr Go. As a medical professional you should require more of yourself and your staff.
Dr Go is the most amazing Dr she spends quality time getting to know you and your family. She diagnosed my daughter after several Ped's come not explain or resolve her diaper rash. I am looking her up to recommend her to a friend. Her staff is freindly and always remembers you. You may be waiting for a crazy long time But once you meet her you find out why and you totally forgive her. So bring activities for the kids..Best of all she has a totally separate sick and well side.
