I was profiled as a thief at this Publix, my Publix. I've been going to this store location since July 2016 and was totally taken aback by the assistant managers presumption that I had not paid for the two heavy items on my lower cart rack. She was pushing me and my over $400 worth of groceries through the check out process because the store was closing in 30 minutes. I kindly made her aware that those two items had already been paid for, in cash and that the rest of the items in the cart were on a new tab. Seconds later and standing less than 4 ft from me, she asked Nick the cashier "did she pay for these" and pointed down to my items. He ask "what?"and once again, clear as day repeated the offensive question! I was and still am infuriated and demand an apology! This happened tonight at this Publix location in Boynton Beach 9/13/17. She did apologize to me AFTER I called her out on it. And I tell you, her apology was so sugar coated and insincere , truly and simply unprofessional! She will not go far at Publix, that's my prediction!
Publix is a solid store. This one is a good one too so I want to say that first. However what is wrong with the women who work deli?!? I've been there over 30 times over a year here and anytime a woman is working the deli or sandwich area they look MISERABLE. They never smile, ever. They put the littlest effort I've ever seen into making food. The food is good in spite of them but cmon people I get it's not a fun job but I've worked sandwich shops, restaurants, retail, and direct sales and none of that was particularly fun, however, I didn't take it out on customers and show it on my face ALL DAY EVERYDAY. Be an adult and suck it up like the rest of the world does. Rant over
I usually shop at Winn Dixie. The BOGOS are CLEARLY marked on each shelf for each item. No problems whatsoever, ever. Went to Publix today to get a BOGO on Tyson Chicken Tenders. They make it so confusing as to what is BOGO. I gave up.
Publix is known for their customer service and selection. Michael, the General Manager, will always go the extra mile to make sure your shopping experience is a pleasant one. Merchandise can be found here that cannot be purchased anywhere else. Need a gourmet ingredient? Save yourself some time and go to Publix first.
