And that's just the restaurant. Try the country store. You will find visitors there from all over the world browsing through clothes, rocking chairs, cast iron cookware and candy bars as long as your arm.
I'm so happy to report that this location's food has improved immensely. As locals, we dined here regularly until 2-3 years ago. Just returned for a birthday lunch for Mom and was so pleasantly surprised! Service & people, excellent. Food, very good. I ordered the new steak & eggs and had to pat a lot of grease off the plate & steak for my stomach. This was not their fault, but would be more appealing with less grease. We're so happy they have improved. Thank you for the wonderful service & food!!!
This is food like you granny used to cook. Stuff on the menu you can't get anywhere else. Country chicken with Gravy, Eggs and Pancakes galore, any way you want them. All in a homey atmosphere loaded chock full with memorabilia.
It’s sad that I am giving this a one star. I wish I can give no stars to be quiet honest. It had nothing to do with the food per day. Though the service and attitude was awful. We were greeted by the hostess who was actually nice and took us to our table. But after being seated it went down hill from there. We didn’t see our waitress approach us to our table for the next 5-7 minutes. She was walking to other tables and having more care for them. It would have been professional to at least say “I’ll be right with you all.” We did not even get that. I am here visiting family and this was my father and my step mother first time here ever. In NC we have Crackle Barrel, and I would say they have much better manners to everyone that walks in and service. I did not get that welcoming from this one. I have worked as a waitress in a very fast pace industry, and I understand you can’t always get to everyone but if you are not busy don’t be rude and not greet your table and also give them their ticket while they are still eating. I am very disappointed.
Love The Cracker Barrel. The only thing I can suggest is trying to streamline their store. It's usually pretty packed tight and there's usually a long line at the register and lines to get a table (but at least you can explore the store while you wait.) I just wish they would be able to make things feel a little less crowded and their purchasing-lines a little faster.
Went to eat thanksgiving dinner there and they advertised starting to serve at 11:am, when my wife and I arrived hostess told us it would be a two hour wait... left immediately and went to a denny’s...... ate great dinner, ate denny’s! No way I am gonna sit in heat of Florida and rock in a rocker for 2 hours!
