Everything is neatly organized, and products always seem to be in stock. Easy to find an employee to assist you. The only negative, if it really is a negative, is the smaller selection but that is a space issue as they don't have huge box stores such as PetSmart or Petco. Manager is extremely nice.
Dear Pet Supermarket...
My 14 year old son who has been a volunteer for a bird sanctuary the last two years and just joined the vet program as a freshman at his high school was recently in your Boynton Beach store off Federal Hwy. While visiting he notice an injured baby parakeet (3 months old) and told an employee about it who basically shrugged his shoulders and moved on. My son then got the adult (a friend of mine) of whom he was with and she approached the employee again who shrugged off the injured bird. My son then called me and we made the decision to rescue the bird. He purchased the injured bird with his own money and we will be taking it to a vet for the necessary care. I am disappointed in the way the entire situation was handled and that they sold an injured bird (broken foot) at full price to my son without thought or without any attempt to try to help the injured bird or maybe even give him a discounted price. Apparently the salesman made it clear he couldn't bring it back because he knowingly was trying to save a injured bird and didn't give him a receipt. God only knows what it may cost us to help this injured bird. We have two birds ourself, a turtle and a dog and we bring in rescues from time to time and nurture them back to health. We have used your store often for supplies and have many friends who also do. I can tell you after this incident I will likely find another place to purchase my stuff and suggest the same of my friends. I will personally be reimbursing my son for the $20 of his birthday money he spent to rescue and injured bird that no one at your store seemed to care about.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
I am so upset right now. I had a ball python and just started buying mice from this store as my local pet store stopped selling them. I came here on Friday to buy three mice. When the staff member came up to the counter with the mice she said there were only two mice and that there was a third but it was dead. I didn't think much of it and went home with the two other mice and fed my python. Feeding went fine and my husband and I left out of town the next day (Saturday). We just came home (Sunday) to find my python DEAD! He had regurgitated BOTH the mice! He has never done that the six years I've had him. The mice they gave me had to have been sick! The aweful smell in the house was coming from them! I should have never taken those mice and the staff should have known better than to give them to me.
Love going Pet supermarket. Tje staff is super nice and they have everything i need for my puppy Missy.
BTW...this morning the bird died. At least he died being loved and in a cage alone in peace where other birds wouldn't beat him up (that's what birds do to injured birds)!
