As nice as the staff was, communication and followup was lacking. My mother's death occurred over a holiday weekend and that contributed to a delay in getting the death certificate signed and the paperwork sent to the medical examiner's office. Nonetheless it should not have taken 21 days to intern her ashes in a VA cemetary. This burial was arranged decades ago and everything was pre-paid and arranged. There was some confusion over the internment instructions and there was no representative of the funeral home at the cemetary. The VA staff were exceptionally nice. My father's funeral which was also handled by this firm went much more smoothly and I expected the same. Nothing can be undone, but perhaps this will help render better customer service for others.
